Snow
I like snow. Its December in Utah... so I cant really complain about it.
That being said. Snow sucks. There's about a month left of the duck hunt, and now its snowy.
You can duck hunt in the snow... but its freezing cold. And it takes it a lot of planning and knowledge of ducks.
Maybe I'll just go shoot some stupid targets.
Stupid snow.

A Country Boy Can Survive
Hemi just freaked out from upstairs, and with the thoughts of what had happened in Connecticut Friday in my mind, I grabbed for the closest gun... So after running upstairs with a million thoughts racing through my head, I was glad to learn that Hemi is just weird dog.
I would never want to have to use a gun as protection or self defense. The thought of shooting at another human is terrifying to me, but I am so grateful for the right to have my guns in case something did happen. I feel a lot of comfort knowing that I can protect my sister and my nephew on nights when my brother-in-law is at work.
People think that the way to stop gun crimes is to make guns illegal or harder to obtain. Making guns illegal will only make it so that it's harder for good people to get guns. If someone is going to use a gun to kill someone, I don't see why they would have a problem stealing a gun. It's exactly the same situation as drug use. Drugs are illegal, and that doesn't stop drug users.
I'm not really sure what's going to happen to America if things keep going the way they're going. I'm not saying that if Barack Obama remains president America is going to fall apart... I'm not saying that... but if worst comes to worst, if things go downhill and America does falls apart, for whatever reason or reasons... I'll be glad to be on the side with guns.

Today
I woke up feeling pretty good. I sluffed my History of Rock and Roll class and watched some bow hunting on TV.
Great start to they day right?
Then my mom took me and Tyler to lunch for his birthday... so far so good.
Then things went downhill.
I went to my mom's place to work on some homework. Lots of homework.
As I was opening my computer to get started I thought about the fact that my friends are going hunting right now while I'm doing homework. I hate that. I want to be with my friends.
Then I thought about how this is one of my last chances to even hang out with all my friends before Steve-O moves to start his new job.
Lately, I've been really bummed out. Me and all my friends are growing up. Some of us go on missions, some of us move away to college and some of us get engaged, married or have kids.
The relationships that I've had for years, including the one with my best friend, are changing. We're all going our different ways and as much as I want things to be the same, they just wont be.
But over the past few months, I've gotten really close with a few people around here. I have the best group of friends I could ask for.
If one of us moves to Moroni and needs a place to live, we are welcomed with open arms and are included as part of the family, and group of friends.
If one of us wants to learn how to bow hunt, they're there to get you a bow and teach you how to shoot it.
If one of us rolls a four-wheeler down a mountain, we're all there gladly in our coveralls to pull it out.
As often as possible, we all get together for family dinner and watch our favorite dumb TV show, or new movie.
I honestly couldn't ask for a better group of people.
But that's changing too. With Steven moving at the end of the week, it just feels like there's going to be something missing.
I don't like that things always have to change. I finally feel like I'm part of something, and now that's changing too.
I don't like growing up. I wish things could be as simple as they were my junior year when I spent every night with my best friend and all of our friends. Our biggest concern was when someone was talking too loud when we wanted to watch 'Rat Race.'
I don't like college either.
I'm stressed out.
I have so much homework and honestly, I just don't get it. I messed around in high school and now I'm paying the price. I can barely focus in class, and trying to get stuff done outside of class is nearly impossible.
Right now I'm supposed to be working on my 8 page research paper that is due in a week and I can't even focus on that.
And on top of it all... I'm trying everything I can to quit chewing tobacco. It's a disgusting habit that I hate. I've gone almost two weeks without it and it's taking a toll on me.
I know that if I put one in, it would calm me down and I'd be able to get my homework done, but I don't want to do that. I know that two weeks isn't much, but it's a start. And a start that I'm proud of.
I'm just stressed out. I think I need some more Duck Dynasty in my life.

Rock and Roll.
I thought that my History of Rock and Roll class would be all about Steven Tyler hiding heroin in his scarf on stage.
Axl Rose running around half naked on stage complaining about the world.
Ozzy biting heads of chickens.
Guess what, its not like that.
I have to remember 25 songs from the 1960s. The artist, the track name and the genre by tomorrow morning at 9.
And by genre, I don't mean country, rap or rock and roll.
I mean vocal jazz, teen idol, splatter platter, Lieber and Stoller and Phil Spector.
I'm going to fail.
Sex, drugs, and rock and roll... kids.

Battle Born
Today I was super patient all through class when all I wanted to do was run to Wal-Mart and buy the new Killers album.
Finally, after my radio broadcast, I drove straight to Wal-Mart and guess what wasn't there.
BATTLE BORN.
Sold out.
I don't know if I'm more mad or more sad.
Also, I don't know if I'm mad at Wal-Mart or mad at Snow college. Maybe I'm just mad that the universe hates me.
FML.

Damn you, Greek.
As I'm sure you know, I am a huge fan of the television program, Greek.
That being said, college was a cold hard bitch slap of truth.
Where are the parties? Where are the crazy live bands playing in peoples back yards? Where are the cool guys passed out on my couch?
In Greek, the semi good looking nerds get hot girls all the time. I'm a semi good looking nerd who can't even score a semi good looking nerd girl.
They're up all night partying while I'm up all night comparing and contrasting R&B music to Western music in the 1920s. And math? I never once saw Cappie and the Beav studying math.
Come on college, lets Greek it up a little.

Oh man
I was having a way good run today, then I got a nose bleed, and I had to stop.
Then, Tyler showed me some ab work outs that also totally suck.
Oh well, guess I'll keep on working on it ha ha.
Also, I'm pretty excited for the Boyce Ave. and Secondhand Serenade concert on Saturday. I do wish that Colb and Camrie could come though. Stupid sold out concert.

Real or Fake?
http://jockpost.com/nfl-nike-uniforms-2012-real-fake/
Some of these are fantastic. Some are awful.
Overall, I think the new design of the uniforms are awesome. Some of them just have some pretty lame elements.
These are a few that stuck out to me.
Bills- I'm a fan of the old school look, but I think they could have done a better job of showing off the new style while still using old school stripes.
Pats- Freaking sick. Seriously, I hate the Patriots but these things are so badass looking. God bless America.
Jets- The uniforms totally fit the mascot. They just look freaking stealthy. I love the black and green.
Chiefs- Way too much yellow.
Raiders- They stay just as simple as you'd expect from Oakland. That being said, I really like the thin lines they did through the jersey and pants. Not too much, but still gives it a little extra pop.
Bengals- I really don't know how I feel about these. I loved the old Bengals uniforms and these are completely different. They went from legit tiger stripes to a cartoony/flowery/swimsuit looking design. I do think it looks cool, but I think it would have been better to stick to the old stripes they used.
Steelers- I like that they put the stripes on one arm rather than two. I also like the diamond plating in the helmet. Other than that, I think it's pretty crappy. Way too much yellow. Not terribly intimidating at all.
Jaguars- Awful. They look very girly.
Cowboys- I very much like how they've added different shades of grey into the pants. Grey and blue is just a classy color combo and I'm a fan.
Eagles- I love the color scheme on these uniforms. I think the Eagles have the best color in the NFL. It's classy and tough looking. My only complaint is the shoulders. Had Oregon not done this EXACT same thing, I'd be all for it. I just think it's too knock-offy.
Redskins- I think it's just got way too much going on. I do like the helmet and the sleeves.... just not together.
Cardinals- So legit. The colors and the pattern work well together. Way tough looking.
Niners- I actually really like these. The color seems to be a little darker than they used in the past and I think it looks pretty tough. It looks innovative and old school at the same time. Three cheers!
Bears- The colors go together very well and I'm a big fan of the stripes on the sleeves and socks.
Vikings- Gross.
Falcons- From far away it looks pretty basic, but it looks like they've got some pretty sweet, subtle detail up close.
I look forward to seeing what they've got drawn up as far as home, away and alternative.
What do you think?
Any that stand out to you (good or bad) that I missed?
Do you like them better than they've done in the past?
Real or fake?

You bet
I hate dry skin.
For many obvious reasons. It sure doesn't feel good, and it definitely doesn't look good.
I do love snickerdoodles though.
And milk. Especially together!
Good night friends.

Holy freak.
Not even kidding.
I've never had it before, but my face hurts so bad right now.
On the bright side, I finally have a mustache. It's not terribly thick as of right now, but it's gettin' there.
Also, I'm getting 1,000 bucks back from my taxes, and I just want to blow it on something fun.
I wanted to get a new guitar and a new gun, but I'm pretty sure I'll be spending it on tires and a laptop.
Being an adult sucks.

Hold the flipping phone.
Thing I hate number 1: That I am extremely comfortable right now, and my foot is falling asleep so I have to move.
Thing I hate number 2: When a celebrity dies and the whole world is like, "Awe man. Whitney Houston was the best friend I ever had. I literally think about her at least every 8 seconds and now she's dead. How I am ever going to survive?"
When two days ago 'I wanna dance with somebody' came on the radio and they were like, "Man, this is my Jam. This black lady sure does know how to sing. Who is this? Gladys Knight? Tina Turner?"
Like for real man, don't act like you were this persons biggest fan. The lady hasn't had a hit for 48 years.
And I mean that with all due respect.
Thing I hate number 3: Dogs that bark at me when I walk by.
Thing I hate number 4: I hate when I cyber bully someone, and they cyber bully me back. 'Cause then I'm like, "Hey you. WTH? I'm in the middle of picking on you, and you have to comeback way stronger than me and make me look dumb." Seriously, you're harshing my cyber bully mellow.
Thing I hate number 5: I only have good hair days when I'm sitting at home alone.
Thing I hate number 6: My facial hair grows in patchy and my dad calls me patches.
Thing I hate number 7: Losing.
Thing I hate number 8: Things that don't smell good.
Thing I hate number 9: When I have to pee, but I'd rather sit and blog.
Actually number six is 33% a lie. Fact: My facial hair does grow in slightly patchy. Fact: My father does call me patches. I do think it's funny though, so I don't actually hate it. Sorry for lying.
Story time.
Yesterday at work, I scraped my finger on a steel at work and it hurt like a mo. So I put a band aid on it. Then today, I put another band aid on it 'cause it was starting to hurt again, but this time it had tiger stripes on it. Naturally, I requested that everyone refer to me as either Thunder Cat or Big Cat, and they continued to call me Boo-boo. So anyone who is reading this, feel free to help me get the new nickname going.
Okay, now I have to pee. Bye.

Suck
I hate when vacations end. I miss Disneyland and hanging out with my cousins already.
On the other hand, I'm quite excited to see my father. I miss that guy.
Friday, January 20, 2012
Eff, dude.
I don't like it at all. I try to stay pretty positive but lately it's been hard.
I need my vacation to get here a little faster.
